How much are your kayak rentals?

Our kayak rentals in Mission Bay range from $50 - $90 and are available for 2 to 8 hour rentals. Prices are per kayak and each kayak supports up to 2 people. Rentals are up to 8 hours long.

How much are your paddle board rentals?

Our paddle board rentals in Mission Bay range from $35 - $75 and are available for two, half-day (4 hours), or full-day (8 hour) rentals. Prices are per paddle board.

What time does my rental start?

Your rental will start at the time you’ve selected. For nighttime rentals, we suggest a start time of 7:00 or 8:00 PM to enjoy the sunset on Mission Bay.

Do you offer group rates?

At this time, we do not offer any group rates as we only have eight 2-person kayaks for a max of 16 people per night. We do occasionally offer specials and promos so make sure you sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Facebook & Instagram to stay informed of any specials.

Where do I park my car?

There is plenty of parking available at all locations. If for some reason you cannot find parking there, please call 760.429.5965 and we will direct you to the nearest lot.

What should I wear?

Riders should assume they will get wet up to their knees getting in and out of their kayaks. We recommend swim trunks or swimsuits or loose-fitting pants or yoga pants that can be pulled up if needed. We strongly discourage wearing jeans. Depending on the weather, you may want to bring a sweater or jacket if you think you will get cold. Riders should also assume they will get wet while paddling.

Where can I go in Mission Bay?

There are no restrictions on where you can go in Mission Bay so feel free to explore. Keep in mind you will need to navigate your way back so use your best judgment. We do not advise you to go into the channel that takes you out to the ocean. The current is unpredictable and you may not be able to paddle back into Mission Bay and will need to be rescued.

What do I do in case of an emergency or accident?

If for any reason you get lost, stuck, or have an accident, call us at 760.429.5965 and we will assist you.

What if it’s raining on the day of my booking?

While San Diego is home to some of the best weather on the planet, we do still get rain. If there is rain in the forecast on the day of your rental, you can call us (760.429.5965) to reschedule. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can choose to go out in the rain too!

How long can I rent a kayak for?

Our kayak rentals in Mission Bay can be from 2 to 8 hours. You decide how long you want to be out on the water as long as you come back by your time limit. If you feel like you’re not going to make it back in time, please give us a call at 760.429.5965 to provide us with an update.

What should I bring with me?

Depending on how long you plan on being out, we recommend bringing water, a light snack (energy bars are perfect), your mobile phone in case of emergencies, and a light sweater or jacket. We do NOT provide any storage or dry bags

What is the minimum age to rent a kayak?

You must be at least 10 years old and 65 pounds to paddle your own kayak. Children under 10 years of age or 65 pounds are allowed to ride on a kayak with someone who meets the age and weight requirements. Any kayaker under the age of 18 must have their parent or guardian sign the insurance waiver in person prior to taking the kayak out. We recommend having the parent or guardian accompany their child to Crown Point Park.

What is the weight limit on your kayaks?

Our kayaks are built to support a weight limit of 400 lbs for tandem riders. Please reserve two kayaks if your combined weight exceeds the limit or you may not be able to rent a second one when checking in as they are based on availability.

What is your cancellation & refund policy?

If you cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled rental, you will receive a full refund. You may also reschedule within 24 hours with no penalty. Any changes or cancellations within 24 hours of your rental are non-refundable.

Do you provide lessons?

We do not provide lessons, but we do go over the basics of paddling, tips, and provide other useful information prior to you taking out your nighttime kayak. If you’ve never paddled a kayak before, don’t worry, there’s really not that much to it!

What should I do if I get lost or am running late?

If for any reason you get lost, stuck, have an accident, or are running late call us at 760.429.5965 and we will assist you.

Do I need to wear a life vest?

Yes, all persons participating in water sports in Mission Bay are legally required to wear a life vest. We will provide one for you at the time of your rental. We do not have child-size life vests. If bringing a child, we recommend you bring your own life vest.

Can I go night fishing off your kayaks?

Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your fishing equipment and use your time fishing in the bay.
